RVCAMPREVIEW.COM and iPad : 100% compatible

Well, I live in Canada and it took that long for the iPad to cross the border.
Now that it's here I had to run a test and figure out how www.rvcampreview.com would work on it.

IPad, like iPod, like iPhone does not run flash... Good news rvcampreview.com has no flash.

So I knew that it would work on those devices, it does nice on iPhone, but the screen is a little bit too small.

Was time to reach the apple retailer which happen to be 2 min away from home.

And here I am. Like always the design is sleek, it looks like Apple did hire all the designers on earth since they are the only one to provide cool design devices... may be Airstream has the only available left.
It's lightweight, well made. Nice stuff. No doubt. I don't like the absence of a webcam, the next version will for sure - marketing decision. And until fall, when an OS update will be released, it doesn't do multitasking. Meaning you have to quit the current running application to run another one... annoying.

Here the major flaws about iPad.

But I was there to test rvcampreview.com on iPad.

So here it is. Open safari, touch the address field, and a nice big touch screen keyboard shows up!
Cool.
I type the Url and here is rvcampreview.com

Fast on WIFI at least. Couldn't test the 3G access.

The screen is big enough, the maps display perfectly, easy to read. I did use the website, and it's like your home computer.

So, as expected, iPad is 100% rvcampreview.com compatible!

If you have an iPad, you can use rvcampreview.com from the road to plan your trip!

It's a perfect match for RV'ing...

RVCAMPREVIEW.COM is now ONLINE

After more than a year of work, I'm happy to announce that rvcampreview.com is now online, up and running,

You'll be able to find exhaustive infos about the campgrounds that are already listed (new ones are added daily) and you'll be able to rate SEVERAL aspects of the reviewed campgrounds, not only a global rating, customer service, noise, wifi reception, site space, PAD levelness etc... It's unique to rvcampreview.com

Give it a try and leave your comments.

Islay...

I have a little something for the Vintage Airstream. And I wanted to get one to offer her a complete Reno (See the previous post).

This time is coming. I found a nice 1963 Overlander. The shell is in good shape. The interior is not bad as well better than needed, as I won't keep any.

It will be a nice source for parts for those who need them.

Though I forgot to say that so far she's still at the owner place.

I am looking for one in Montreal to do the work in about 5 months from now...

Long process.

I'll post pics soon...

She's Islay.

Long Time no hear....

It's been a long while since the last post...

Life is a long road... and like it you better follow the signs.

I went thru a major personal change. If you read those pages you'll figure out that "we" is mainly used.

There is no "we" anymore, no "us" anymore. The one we were became the one I am.

Now different road, different country and it's all I can say. A year ago. Needed to put myself back together. Still lost pieces somewhere.

The only thing I can talk about is me.

I am working on my full timing project... it's on track, it's coming, never fast enough.

I am also working on an Airstream makeover. The drawing are done already. Some pieces of furnitures are bought. I'm looking after the Airstream that will host it.
It's as much exciting as frustrating.
Exciting to know what it could finally looked like... having to think at the details, the layout, the styling, hunting for pieces, create a mood as much as comfort. The technical aspect is part of it. Weight, dimension, all has to be considered. But I didn't want to make any compromise on my choices.

Frustrating because spare time is rare. I wan't things to go. I want to put everything together.

Find the trailer that would be the best to be redone. My wish would be to purchase an empty shell from the factory and start from scratch. But for budget reason, on top of feasibility I will have to drop the idea.

The roaster host another project. It's already in development. A beta version should be available within 3 to 4 weeks from now. And a full working version by April.

Stay tuned... it will be announced here.

you can contact me if you would like to become a beta tester.

In the meantime enjoy Streamin', if not yet enjoy thinking at it.

Keep your dream safe. From others and first from yourself.

Life is like a road. Follow the sings, not to get lost.
